JANE JAY PAYNE SENIOR SEVENTEEN CASSIE VENTURA
"something's missin in me, i felt this deep within me ... "
"something's missin in me, i felt this deep within me ... "
"Let's begin, shall we? Tell me about yourself. I want to know everything."
Jane raised an eyebrow when he said he wanted to know everything. everything? she thought, she giggled a little and sighed, she didnt think they had time for that, but shed touch briefly on the basics. "Well, My name is Jane Payne, sort of a interesting name I guess. With the rhyme scheme and all of that. I was born January 3rd. I am currently seventeen years old. I am a mixture of three things: african, korean, and american. A little about my personality? Well i'm completely random, pretty goofy, and I've been told that I'm a push over?" she looked at the tie he was wearing. "Nice tie by the way- oh, wait, i forgot to mention that i compliment almost everyone about almost everything. I guess i'm a sweetheart." she shrugged. "That's far better than being rude and mean for no reason, right?"
"All right. So you know the truth about this place. What exactly did we invite you to this school for?"
"Well, okay- here we go." she sighed, thinking of a way to put this so that she didnt sound like a complete crazy person."You know back in elementary when everyone was concerned with what everyone else thought about them and so on and so forth, well, I was always the kid that knew." she started, "All i had to do was think about a person, perhaps glance at them one good time and I could hear their voice, but their lips weren't moving. I could read their thoughts. I was reading their mind..It wasn't all too great actually. I ran into a lot of people who would smile in my face and really think negatively about me. I guess it's like a lie detector within itself? Like right now for example, I can hear everything you're thinking right now.." she smirked, "i am working on keeping myself out of peoples heads, its difficult but i'm getting somewhere"
"Oh yes. I see now why we would have invited you. Tell me please, a bit of background information. What is home life to you?"
"well i'm from new york city. it's a very busy place. well my mom, she was from new york, she's black and japanese and my dad moved here from california. he had a little bit of african descent as well. anyways, the two fell in love and made me. now i'm here, they fell in love in new york however, while attending law school with one another..both of them were geniuses. always felt pressured while growing up...they knew something was strange about me because they would fight and argue and my mom would probably think something bad about my dad, and i'd ask her about it..of course she'd be all 'where did you get that from' and i would tell her i heard her say it, she spoke to my dad about it and they tested me that night..they'd think things and ask me to tell them what they were thinking, of course i did." she shrugged. She was quite happy thinking about how well her parents handled it. They didnt take her to a psych ward or anything like that. They kept it a secret. "They were very accepting of me, but then- sometimes, they'd go away from me, and leave me home alone to get away for the weekend, they didnt want someone to know what they were thinking." she sighed. "I am an only child too, my mom didnt want to go through the pains of giving birth again i guess." she added.
"I see. You should fit right in. May I ask, what are your plans for outside of AGM?"
Plans? She smirked, she could go on all day about desired plans that she had. "Well, I want to be a child psychologist. I've read a lot of minds during my years and i'm aware that us kids have it rough." she smirked, she really did think so. Kids had a lot of emotions and needed someone to understand them. Jane was good at that. "Well, I hope my outstanding grades get me the scholarships I need t get a masters in child psychology. I think i'd do well at that job." she said.
"Huh. That's fine, actually. Uh... would you like to tell me about any hobbies or part-time jobs you have? It may be too difficult to continue once you're on the island."
"well, I never really had a job,..does babysitting count?" she laughed, thinking of the times she'd get paid a crummy 20 dollars for watching a kid for over 24 hours. "hobbies?" she laughed, "I have so many. I love sketching, like drawing things out. I've been told I have a decent voice. I have a love for music, singing and dancing. I guess my major hobby would be dancing. There's something about dancing that makes me feel so alive. It's like the most legit form of art, the body is the greatest art piece and it has its own story to tell."
"We're nearly finished now. But I'd like to know, how do you feel about AGM and super natural powers. I ask you be honest here."
"I'm thankful for AMG, I really am." she said with all sincerity. She had spent most of her life looking for a place where she could feel normal. This was that place for her. "I believe being a supernatural is a gift and a curse...It is horrible, for me personally, to walk around every day knowing the degrading and rude thoughts someone has about me..knowing I have to pretend that I dont know what they thought about me. Then, I always know that the people that I do care about are genuine, how, well I've heard their thoughts about me." she said. "I guess my power isnt as bad as the others, some of the people who's powers are more physical than mental..I'm happy with this gift, but I'd really love to learn how life would be without it..I guess I have to learn to control it better?"
"Oh, I see. I have mixed feelings about it myself, but I know what I believe in. Well, great! I think we're finished now. I've gotten a real sense of who you are! Thanks so much for your time and we'll let you know. In the meantime, do you have any questions, comments or concerns?"
"when can i get started?"
