Jane sat in the library. It had already been a couple of weeks and she figured this was going to be her new home now. She had spent the last 3 hours typing up a last minute paper. She didnt know why she had saved it for the last minute. This wasnt usually like her. She usually always got her things done as soon as she got it. Man, I swear I am a beast! This paper looks amazing. Not bad for something done last minute and whatever she thought in her head. Priding herself on her paper as she looked it over.
Jane was a very smart girl. She had made straight A's all her life (well, minus math classes) and had even took on every extra credit opportunity available. She was actually interested in these things like the way english worked. The way stories revealed secrets within secrets. At first she had really liked her english class but it was getting more and more difficult. This school was very academically driven. This would all be perfect and fine..if she didnt have a life!
Jane was just about done, she just ahd to add in her sources. She opened up a book to check to see the publishing date. It had been one of the books she had used. She looked at her screen for a second and saw a picture of a red battery. She blinked. I swore I charged ths thing when I left she thought. She forgot her charger at home and sort of lost track of how long she had actually been here. The computer started to dim, she knew what was about to happen. "No..No,No,No.." she said trying to rush on the mouse to click save but before she could...bam, her computer turned off. "Oh My God!" she said aloud forgetting she was in a library.
She rubbed her forehead in stress. Sighing as she stared down at the table, blankly, her eyes a little wide. "That did not just happen." she said closing her computer screen then opening it back up as if somehow the word document would pop back up and the computer would be working. She banged her head against the desk, and then rested her head in her arms, she could feel her eyes watering up right about now. Stress, ...such an emotional thing.
