You’d think someone who killed their own father with their power would hate themselves? Exactly the opposite for Vivienne. Instead of becoming ashamed and depressed for forcing her father commit suicide through mind control, Viv acquired a love of power. She loves having the ability to control others, because others have always controlled her. Now the roles are switched.
Viv has definitely had a difficult life. First off, she never met her dad as a child and the first time Vivienne encountered him, she murdered the guy. She had a step-brother who abused her and raped her multiple times. And lastly, she had a mother who didn’t care about her at all. It probably wasn’t the worse life someone could have, but it certainly wasn’t the best. Throughout the abuse she received from her brother, Viv became increasingly disgusted with herself. Eventually, when she was only eleven, she began cutting herself. And soon after, she became anorexic, only eating a saltine cracker every third day.
Viv is extremely impassive and solitary. Her face is nearly always a blank sheet, she believes that revealing emotions is a weakness. She doesn’t like crowds, they make her feel claustrophobic and trapped, like she was in her own home. To her, the quote “three is a crowd” is very accurate.
Friends: Though Viv is easily irritated, it’s not impossible to become her friend. These people will probably be the troubled guys and girls of Grace. Or the annoyingly persistent people who feel the need to befriend everyone. Once someone is her friend, she’s almost possessively protective, but she’s only looking out for them.
Enemy: These are more easy to come by. They will probably dislike her because of her temper (which seems to only be activated by mentioning her past..), or the fact that she’s numb to any kind of insults they throw at her. But Viv does enjoy making them regret their rudeness.
Lovers: Viv is straight so no chicas here! She’s extremely closed off from the world, and, though she’d never say it, she’s scared of guys. Mainly it’s because of Ethan but she also believes that they can’t commit, since her dad ditched her mom. She’d probably have friends with benefits, or one-night stands, but it’d be difficult to become her actual boyfriend. The guy would have to be persistent, or else she might think you’re like her bastard of a dad. I kind of want someone who would be a good influence on her. Someone that actually cared about the fact that her ribs were beginning to show and the new and old scars on her arms.
