I can do anything, anything, anything I want
“Shit…” said a pale boy as he stood in front of the most traditional game of all time, Pacman. This boy’s chocolate brown eyes stared at the big red letters spelling “GAME OVER” while having an expression of ultimate defeat. He honestly thought he would win THIS time but it was clear that these little colored blobs were too much for him. A sigh of frustration passed the boy’s lips as he kicked the machine. “Stupid piece of shit!” He exclaimed as he swung around while his black high top converse squeaked in the process. He allowed his eyes to scan the room as his expression changed to a much angrier one. He couldn’t seem to find a watch or a clock anywhere which was surprising seeing as this school kept track of everything. This boy ruffled through his already messy brown hair and then shoved both of his hands into his baggy jeans’ pocket, hoping to find any spare change so that he can have a rematch against those dirty blobs. Just my luck… the boy told himself as he slapped his hand on his forehead. With that, the boy took the skateboard leaning against the side of the game and quickly made his way outside.
Skateboarding was always the best hobby to get rid of anger. Well, either that or eating shit loads of junk food and at the moment this boy was broke so it only left one option: skateboarding. A big grin came across his face as he took a seat near one of the benches just a few feet away from the entrance of the Hub. He carelessly dropped his skateboard on the path before him and placed one foot on it, moving it side to side. His eyes would be focused on one thing and one thing only: his skateboard. He could reminisce all day about his passion for it. However, there never seemed to be enough time for that lately. After all, most of the time, he’d be stuck in the library revising until he finally passed out or just socializing with people, who in all honesty, he didn’t give a fuck about. He got dragged into this crazy school because of his power and his one and only mission here was to become an expert in it. Nothing else! Although, it may have seemed tempting to ask a few hot chicks out or chill with a few buddies. This boy or Austin James Philips more like, didn’t see the point. However, instead of expressing to some people how he TRULY felt towards them, Austin kept it bottled up inside and do whatever the cost to have some of them like him, at least to the point where he would be tolerable.
A sigh passed his lips as he leaned back on the bench, letting the rays of the sun hit his pale skin. Austin was having a very good time. Perhaps it was because he didn’t have anyone to annoy the shit out of him or yell at him because of his attitude. Austin was honest and if people didn’t like it then they had the choice to either leave or deal with it. Most people learned to deal with it. After sitting for a couple of minutes taking advantage of the time he had on his own, Austin finally decided that he’d move. He stood up from the bench, ruffled through his already messy hair and pushed the foot that hadn’t been on the skateboard back quickly but gentle enough so that he wouldn’t fall off. He had his upper body leaned forward slightly, his arms to loose by his sides, and his right foot by the front of skateboard. A big smile came across his face as he increased his speed by pushing his left foot back more forcefully. As soon as he had enough momentum, he placed his left foot on the back of his skateboard. He allowed his arms to relax some more, as he kept his knees buckled as if he was in snowboarding boarding position. Austin could feel the cool breeze hit his face, it was so calming. He couldn’t help but close his eyes at this very moment. He wanted to be fully consumed by what he was experiencing and be able to never let go of it. This wouldn’t last long though… because as soon as he opened his eyes, he ran right into one of the medium sized poles that were set as decorations around the island.
“FUCK!” Austin exclaimed loudly before landing face first on the pavement. He could hear his skateboard behind him slowly ride backwards. Austin quickly got to his knees and grabbed his skateboard before it could ride away from him any further. He groaned silently in pain as he felt a heart throbbing pain by the side of his face. This day quickly had made a turn for the worst….
