Matilda Casandra Grey Junior Female Straight
»The fat lard of a principal looked over his papers with a rather disinterested attitude. He noticed you sitting down, but doesn't really have the courtesy to look up from his desk. To you, he says out loud. "Let's begin sha'll we? Tell me the basic details about yourself." With a cough, he shuffled through is papers and glanced at you once through his small eye glasses.
Well I'm Matilda, although some people call me Maddy for short, of course you don't need to know that hehe. I get a little chatty when I'm nervous! Anyways, I'm a Junior in high school, that's 11th grade, but you probably new that! And I'm seventeen and I'm going to be eighteen next year. October 3rd to be exact. I am a little nervous with interviews if you couldn't tell...is there any water or something that I could drink? Oh wait, never mind I have my own...Ah yea, I have a tendency to get dehydrated a lot. I always have to have my handy dandy water bottle.
»With a sigh, he leaned back in his chair, threw his glasses on the desk and ran his chubby fingers through thinning, greasy hair. He pinched the nose of his bridge and closed his eyes tightly as he said, "You know about the truth of this place. Now, I didn't invite you personally, my staff did. So please, give me a run down of your power." With his eyes still shut, the principal gestured with one arm toward you to begin.
Well I can control water. I have recently figured out how to take moister straight out of the air, and I'm trying to see if I can turn it into ice. Someone even suggested that there might even be some healing powers that come along with my water abilities. I don't know, but there's a lot I think I might be able to do and just don't know it yet. I can sort of feel it inside me. Have you ever had the feeling that you could just do something, you just don't know how? I was like that up until ten, because that's when I found out I could control water. I was in a pool, I LOVE to swim, if you guys have a swimming team I would love to join, but anyways, I was splashing my little sister Kimmy and she splashed me, but I didn't want to get my hair wet because I have just gotten my hair curled for my cousin's wedding, and so I put my hands up to cover myself and the water just stayed in the air. Any my sister started freaking out and screamed a lot. And I lowered my hands and the water went back into the water. Needless to say, my hair stayed dry the rest of the day. Anyways, I am pretty good at controlling my powers. I can make water explode out of fountains, which is something I really can't control when I'm mad. Once at school, this girl called me the b-word and I got so mad that all the pipes in the school burst. It was probably the most embarrassing thing ever. But like I said, I'm still learning. I can't control huge waves of water, yet, but I'm hoping to get a hold of that a little.
»Finally, his eyes opened groggily. However, he wasn't much warmer. He yawned loudly and largely as he looked over your paper. With eyes watery and face red he continued, "I see why we would have invited you. Let's see..ah yes. Mind telling a bit about your family and where you're from?"
Well, as I said before, I have a little sister, Kimmy, and two parents who are together. I grew up in Florida. I took swimming classes all my life and lived by the beach, which might have stemmed my love of water. Anyways, my mom is a neurologist and my dad is a plastic surgeon. Needless to say, I grew up pretty well off. My dad kind of started to ignore me after I figured out my power, but my mom was fascinated by them. She kept begging me to let her take pictures of my brain and preform tests on me. It was kind of weird and I kind of felt like a lab monkey or something. Before I found out about my powers, things were pretty normal for me. I took swimming classes every day after school at four and I mostly got As in school. My little sister was a little jealous of my grades, but I think my powers made me seem a little more flawed to her. She used to tease me about my powers when we were younger. She doesn't like them so much now. I think she's jealous she doesn't have any powers of any kind. She used to ask my mom why she didn't have any powers, and my mom would just ignore her and use it as an excuse to ask me if she could take an x-ray of my skull. My family is weird. My dad still barely talks to me. He says that it isn't natural and that it's a flaw of my body. He says that if he could some how remove my powers like a wart from someone's face, he would do it in an instant. That might just be because he's a plastic surgeon, though.
»While you were talking, the principal had made himself comfortable by leaning back in his chair and intertwining his fingers. "Hmpf. You should fit right in. May I ask, what are your plans in the future? Outside of AMG?
Obviously to figure out the full extent of my powers. I just know there's more than just controlling water, but I don't know exactly. I am also hoping to become a marine biologist. You know, train dolphins and study their behaviors and stuff like that. I figure it could fit right in with my powers. I don't know, can kinds who leave this school get real jobs or are they just freaks forever? Whatever, I also hope to continue swimming here. Maybe learn how to scuba dive?
»He looks much more interested now, rather awake and in a slightly better mood. "Tell me, do you have any hobbies?" he inquired, creating soft jazz hands at the word 'hobbies' as if to mock it. "You're aware that it may be difficult to continue these on the island, as you may not leave outside of break?" It was more of a statement than a question.
Well yeah! I was thinking I could swim on the beaches! An island is the perfect place for me!! I already told you like a million times how much I love swimming, right? Haha, it's fine though, I don't mind saying it over and over again. I know it might be difficult to continue it though, but I want to so badly that I might ask teachers if I could use it as a learning experience. After all, what if one of my unknown powers is breathing under water and I just don't know I can do it? Anyways, I feel like my powers can grow here, and that's kind of a hobby too, right?
»The principal crossed his fat arms and leaned on his desk. In a much more serious tone, he asked, "Be honest, child. How do you feel about all of this...supernatural stuff?" his shoulders shrugged as he said it.
Well, I don't know, it's mixed feelings. After all, I love water, but my sister and my dad make me feel bad about my powers. My dad has always told me that I'm not naturally and my sister always mocked me as a freak. I try to let it roll of but of course that's hard to do. I'm not certain. I'm hoping that I might be more accepting of my powers as a gift if I'm around other kids with powers. I sort of feel like a freak at times, like when I use my powers on accident, but I feel special when I know how to control my powers.
»He leaned back on the chair that squeaked under his weight. "I see. Personally, I have mixed feelings. Anyway, we're finished now." The Principal grunted loudly as he got up to shake your hand. "It was a pleasure meeting you, do you have any questions for AMG?" he added, as he let go of your hand and buzzed the receptionist to lead you out.
Nope! Thanks for this opportunity though!
