The territories of Terreille had been at war beyond even the memory of the long-lived. Power-hungry rulers left the land to suffer for so long that it began to wither and its despair finally called the Queens to search for peace among their peoples. Years of political discussions saw a truce built between them and the Blood turned away from warfare to restore the land they called home. Though tension still exists, that peace held for 11,000 years.
Though a recent war between Shalador and Askavi has been mostly avoided, it seems that the ancient lessons are wearing out. With the aristocracy struggling for power amidst the ranks and rulers jealously eyeing their neighbours’ Territories, peace has become a thin veneer of carefully chosen words. There are those who watch and wonder when greed will once more rule the Realm of Light.
As war devoured Terreille those many years ago, Kaeleer looked on in horror before turning away, closing its borders to live in peaceful isolation for nearly 100,000 years. Of course, the Dark Gates were still watched over by Priestesses and enough gold marks could see the edict broken, but the people of Kaeleer have become something of a mystery to the residents of Terreille. They waged their own wars over the years: battles fought over the same miserly complaints, but the Shadow Realm’s history is less bloody than its sister’s.
Now, after much debate, Kaeleer has opened its borders, though travel remains limited and there are many who do not like the prospect of visitors. Relations, for the most part, are respectful.

It's an AU RP so the events and characters found within the series are not to be found on our board.
