If one were to describe David in one word, they'd be stumped for quite some time. For one, David cannot be described in one word- unless of course you create a new word combing several words that you saw fit to explain him in whole. David isn't exactly what you'd call a 'ladies man'. Sure, he's charming and attractive- but he's not all for commitment. No, he isn't afraid of it; he's just lazy. Being in a relationship is too much work; not to mention the fear that the woman would just be playing him off as a fool for his family's money. David tries his best to avoid any real relationship. One night stands are more his thing. Though this doesn't necessarily mean he's out stalking every night club with a bag of rohypnol in hand. He lets them come to him. If a lady just so happens to be in the mood for experimenting and he looks like a fine test subject, well he certainly won't be the one to spoil her good mood with rejection.
At times, David can be a bit awkward. Not in that cute, geeky awkward that you see in the movies- no, David is that guy that slips up at times and says a word or two to make a girl (or in some cases a guy) go "asshole!". It's a sort of 'thinking out loud' type deal. The type of 'thinking out loud' that makes a group go into an awkward silence mode.
David's power is reality warping. David's power was first recognized at a very young age whilst playing outside. At the age of three, David began to alter his toys- bring them to 'life', in a way. Not necessarily breathing and talking, no- but for a second, David was able to 'breath them to life'. They were able to move on their own. Of course it frightened his mother at first; his father was fascinated. With time the couple began to encourage it- allow him to strengthen his power. For 16 years David has been living with no laws, and so the life and limits of the schoolyard will definitely agitate him to some degree.
With his power, David is able to reshape matter and energy, create or alter life forms, turn a person's thoughts or desires into reality, simulate any and all other powers and abilities, bend time and space, with time, he may even be able to rewrite the law of physics. Of course now, David does have his limits. Large, time consuming creations- such as bending time or creating a life form, takes a lot out of him. The pain is excruciating, and it takes 48 hours or more for his body to 'heal' in order to use his power again. Smaller things such as altering a life form, turning thoughts and desires into reality are nothing for him- they're very simple. However, on occasion- David's body will temporarily go into a state of shock and paralyze him for several minutes if he over uses his power.
David's main fears in life are ants and drowning. Growing up as a child was easy enough for a young David- had it not been for his naive innocence and curiosity. Being let's just say 'not the brightest crayon in the box' as a child, David had been fiddling around with a fire ant pile. Little did he know a swarm of the nasty little buggers would soon be biting his pale toddler legs. David still bears scars of where the insects helped themselves to his limbs. Ever since that day he's made sure to stay out of their way. That, or killing them in any way he can possibly think of. Bleach seems to be the best alternative to stepping on them. That or using his power to alter their bodies into something a little more pleasant- like a flower, or a piece of paper. Another common fear he basks in. This fear also came throughout his childhood. When he was 12, maybe 13, David had been swimming in his parent's in ground pool. Not being the best of swimmers, David was left unaccompanied to be learned of the sport they call swimming. That day he had a very close call with death. If it hadn't been for his older brother (who oddly enough died of a water-related incident later on), he'd be dead. Out of superstition itself, David will not live in a house (thankfully for now he lives in a dorm) with a bath tub. Nor does he ever desire to sport a pool. Or live near a pool, for that matter. He tends to keep away from any body of water deeper than 4 feet.
As a person all together, David may seem a little douchey- though he does have a soft spot for one thing- kittens. He can't seem to resist their fluffy, cuteness.
